New York Anti Inflammatory Diet Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

What heart disease, obesity, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, gout, asthma, and other chronic conditions have in common is chronic Inflammation. If you are concerned about preventing or managing a chronic illness, you need to understand and implement an anti-inflammatory plan.

There are two kinds of inflammation—acute (short term) and chronic (long term). While acute inflammation is an essential part of the healing process, chronic inflammation can lead to many of the health conditions plaguing people today.

One of the most powerful tools to combat inflammation comes not from the pharmacy, but from the grocery store. Many studies have shown that components of many foods have anti-inflammatory effects. They include fruits and vegetables, whole grains, plant-based proteins (like beans and nuts), fatty fish, and fresh herbs and spices. As a certified nutritionist and registered dietitian, Nancy will work with you develop a personalized food plan that integrates anti-inflammatory foods while reducing or eliminating those foods that are inflammatory.

Nancy, a NYS certified nutritionist and registered dietitian, works closely with patients and their physicians to develop a healthy sustainable eating plan.
